I’ve always had the creative bug. Whether it is photography, knitting, sewing, or digital art, I’ve always been happiest when I am creating something beautiful. I learned to knit when I was just 5 years old. Instead of simply following knitting patterns, I’d sit in my bedroom for hours trying to design my own knitting patterns. I’d have a unique vision in my head of exactly what I wanted to create, and nothing was going to stand in my way!

My first career could be described as an unusual choice. After completing my diploma in Funeral Service Education at Humber College, I became a licensed Funeral Director. I was able to use my creativity to craft thoughtful and highly personalized experiences for grieving client-families. Death Care is very rewarding but it became emotionally draining so I decided to lay that career to rest.

I have been married to my best friend for 14 years and together we have two incredibly smart and creative daughters. I love animals and I am especially crazy about dogs (I have a chihuahua-yorkie cross named Pippy!)

A few years back, I began dabbling in digital art. I realized my love for design and decided to start building a new career. In fall 2018, I began studying graphic design at Durham College. During my three years of study, I completed a 14-week field placement with the Communications and Marketing department at Durham College and I have been fortunate enough to stay on with the department after graduation in my new role as a graphic designer.
